Escalante Yurts is fast becoming one of the most popular and unique places to stay while visiting Southern Utah. We’re located in a great spot with access to many popular attractions.

But many people don’t know much about staying in a yurt, so we’ve compiled the answers to 7 FAQs about Escalante Yurt stays to help people understand them better.

1. Do Escalante Yurts Have Heat and Air Conditioning?

Escalante Yurts has a variety of yurt sizes to accommodate different group sizes, and every one of our yurts has both heat and air conditioning. That means our guests can stay comfortable all year round.

2. What time is Check-In and Check-Out?

We like to make sure that your yurt is perfectly prepared for our arriving guests, so check-in time is anytime after 4 p.m. Similar to any other hotel, check-out time is anytime before 11 a.m.

3. Can I Bring My Dog?

While we love dogs and know that they are a special part of your family, we don’t allow dogs or emotional support animals in the yurts. If you have a service dog trained to help with a disability, we will, of course, welcome that dog.

Otherwise, we ask that our guests leave their pooch with a pet sitter while they are staying at our facility. That helps us keep the yurts in better condition for longer.

4. Where are the Nearest Popular Hikes?

Bighorn Slot Canyon near Escalante Yurts

This is one of the best things about a stay at Escalante Yurts. We are located close to numerous popular natural areas. Our campground is located close to Bryce Canyon, Calf Creek Falls, Capitol Reef, Kodachrome, and Escalante Petrified Forest.

Spooky and Peek-a-boo slot canyons, two popular hikes, are approximately 26 miles outside of the nearby town of Escalante. We do recommend, however, that you bring a four-wheel drive vehicle for accessing many of the local natural areas.

5. How Does the Complimentary Breakfast Work?

Escalante Yurts provides our guests with a hearty breakfast, and something that sets us apart is that we let you choose when to eat. We prepare your breakfast for the next morning and place it in your yurt each afternoon before.

That allows you to decide when you want to get up and eat. You get a full breakfast with a variety of items, such as breakfast burritos, quiche, fruit, a pastry, and a cold beverage and coffee.

6. Do the Yurts Have WiFi?

Absolutely, you will have access to WiFi. But one thing to be aware of is that the area is rural, so the signal strength may vary. Still, you’ll have a way to upload your vacation photos to your social media accounts!

7. Do I Need to Bring My Own Bed Linens?

This is another thing that sets Escalante Yurts apart from the crowd. Many yurt rentals require you to bring your own linens, but we provide you with clean, comfortable, soft linens on your bed, and your bathroom is stocked with thick towels, soap, shampoo, and lotion.

Escalante Yurts is a Great Place to Make New Memories

Escalante Yurts is designed with your comfort in mind. Aside from the great features listed above, each yurt also has a private patio, and you’ll find communal fire pits for gathering with other travelers to make smores and roast marshmallows.
