1. You’ll be taking the road less traveled.

Escalante was one of the very last places to be mapped in the entire United States due to beautiful but difficult terrain. The area is so vast, you could potentially explore uncharted land while visiting one of the biggest sanctuaries of uninhabited wilderness that still exists.

2. It is rich with history.

With plenty of opportunities for learning, both kids and adults of all ages will drive away with a new understanding of the world around them and how it came to be. Check out the Hole In The Rock Heritage Center, the Escalante Visitor Center, and the Anasazi State Park Museum.

3. We have slot canyons, desert land, rich forests, a reservoir, the Escalante River, mountains in the distance, colorful Navajo sandstone, diverse wildlife and wildflowers…

Need we say more?!

4. The Grand Staircase Escalante area is a national monument.

Once you visit, you’ll see why people have fought to keep this land protected. It has inspired artists and writers for years; the beauty of this area is extremely unique.

5. We have dinosaur tracks, petrified wood, fossils, and more!

From the 20 mile dinosaur trackway to the Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, you’ll see and drive through time.

6. You’ll experience small-town service and charm.

You can’t beat shopping and staying local. Everyone who lives here LOVES it here and wants you to, too.

7. You will see sunrises and sunsets like you won’t believe.

The colors in (and nearby) Escalante will astonish you. It’s been called “Land of the Sleeping Rainbow” for good reason – the rich colors in the sky match the colorful canyons.

8. You will experience some of the best stargazing in the WORLD.

We are nestled between several Dark Sky Parks and places. Our secluded 30 acre property provides a stellar view with almost zero light pollution. You can even see the Milky Way with a naked eye on clear nights. (Astronomy lovers: our comfy chairs on your private deck are steps away from your warm bed – perfect for stargazing!)

9. We have AMAZING food!

Whether you’re a meat lover or strict vegetarian, you will find everything you need in town from a hearty meal to a quick-but-tasty hiking snack. (Blog post with culinary details coming soon!)

10. You can stay in the most luxurious yurts Utah has to offer – ours.

When it comes to experience and expertise in yurt-cations, you won’t find anyone more passionate than us. We are a family-run, family-built business on family property, so there is love in everything we do. (Our guests seem to agree – have you checked out our reviews?)
